L'analisi dei dati nell'indagine statistica. Volume 2

L'esplorazione dei dati e la validazione dei risultati
  • Filomena Maggino,

In the field of social research, one of the approaches that make it possible to obtain a particular type of observation of empirical events is that of surveys. In carrying out the surveys, statistics, in its application version, plays a fundamental role in many phases - from the planning of the study to the identification and selection of the group to be observed, from the choice and construction of the survey instrument to the analysis of the data. The intent of this paper is to highlight this role with particular reference to data analysis, focusing on the objectives of this analysis, on the logic and procedures necessary to achieve these objectives and on the understanding and interpretation of the results.
